Safety is a very important issue, regardless of the size and type of business. According to the survey, 4,628 workers died on the jobsite in 2012 – a tragedy that cost businesses an estimated $170 billion in OSHA fines.
This new infographic from The Asbestos Institute mainly shows us the financial impact of violating OSHA policies. It also shows that falls are generally the leading cause of injury, with fines running up to $20 million; businesses with 1-19 people who see the most quotes; specialized trade contractors are the most penalized; and other famous statistics. This sends a clear message – safety comes first!
