The Rufous hummingbird is a small hummingbird, about 8 cm long with a long, straight and very slender bill. These birds are known for their excellent flying skills. Some have been known to fly as much as 2,000 miles during their migratory transit.
Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22nd, where events are held around the world to show support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by Earth Day Network, and is celebrated in more than 192 countries every year.
