Closing Bait
A constant and fresh stream of photos and updates from your news feed, cover feed is always there when you wake your phone. This lets you stay up to date with your friends’ recent activities in real-time, at all times. You can swipe to see more photos and updates, double-tap to ‘like’ posts and comment directly from the cover feed. Cover feeds are for those in-between moments like waiting in line at the grocery store or between classes when you want to see what’s going on in your world.
Notifications
The closing feed is great for seeing everything that’s going on in the world. But when something more important happens to you, like a friend posts on your timeline, you’ll receive a notification with their profile picture. To open a notification, just tap it. And if you don’t want to deal with them right now, you can simply swipe to hide them and keep flipping through your cover feed until you want them back.
Chat Head
You can keep chatting with your friends even while using other apps. When a friend sends you a message, a chat header appears with your friend’s face, so you can see exactly who you’re chatting with. Messages reach you no matter what you’re doing – whether you’re checking email, surfing the web, or listening to music. You can move chat heads and respond to messages. And because SMS is integrated into Facebook Messenger for Android, chat heads include Facebook messages as well as text.
HTC First is the only phone that comes with Instagram pre-loaded.
Application Launcher
Access to your apps on Home is just as easy as on any other phone. Swipe up to see your favorite apps in the launcher. There’s also a screen that contains all your apps, and you can drag your favorite apps onto the launcher.
