How To Develop A Custom GPS Software Application For Drivers

How To Develop A Custom GPS Software Application For Drivers

If you live in a big city or spend time driving around town, there’s a good chance you’ll be hailing a ride with an Uber, hailing a driver to your location using their app.

What you may not know is that there are actually several ways to pay for your trip and some of these methods are definitely worth exploring if you want to keep it easy and budget what you spend.

Here’s a look at the various payment options:

Book your trip and pay later

One of the options worth exploring allows you to do that Shop Now, Pay Later with ePayLater.

The app does what it says on the tin and lets you pay for something like an Uber ride and make payments any time within 14 days, making it even more convenient to budget your travel expenses.

Cash

One of the most obvious payment methods is cash and you can do that with Uber if that’s your preference.

When you book a ride using the Uber app, you can click “change” on the available payment methods and select cash as your payment method.

Once you do, you request a ride in the normal way and then pay the driver the quoted amount in cash and you’re done.

The obvious downside to that is the fact that you have to have the exact amount of cash on hand, which is inconvenient.

Pay for your trip using your e-wallet balance

Another option is to link your payment account with your Uber profile, then select that option when booking the ride.

This method is easy to set up and Uber will debit your account every time you complete a ride, but you need to maintain a minimum balance in your e-wallet to use this option without any problems.

The obvious disadvantage of this option is the fact that you have to remember to keep your e-wallet funded if you want to be able to book your Uber ride without any hassle.

Save your card details in the app

Another option is to register your credit card details in the Uber app so they can charge your card for each trip as you continue your journey.

Uber will store your credit card number in their system but they say they don’t store your card security number so your details are compromised.

That might be fine and at least easy to order and drive if you’ve given them your card details, but there’s always the slight worry that you let them save your card details on their system.

The point about using a service like Uber is that it offers customers a choice of payment methods so you can choose the one you are most comfortable with.

If you’re going to be using a travel app like Uber on a regular basis, it makes sense to use a payment option that suits your needs and gives you the easiest and easiest way to pay for your ride.
