An exciting automotive event will arrive in Monaco for the first time early next year: various venues across the Principality will transform into an open-air motor show for the Salon International de l’Automobile de Monaco (SIAM).
The first ever open-air Monaco International Motor Show aims to reinvent the traditional motor show and promote the sustainable and responsible development of prestige vehicles, in line with the “new generation” of ecology-conscious views. The event will take place from 16th-19th February 2017 in eleven fantastic locations, including Quai Albert 1, the Grimaldi Forum and the Casino Square.
Organisers are expecting approximately 100,000 visitors to attend. The show will be open to the public from 10am to 7pm every day and day tickets cost just €10 if bought before 30th November. Ticket packages with accommodation and special activities, such as the ‘Ferrari experience’ and helicopter flights, are also available online at a special discount until the end of the month.
In keeping with the ecological theme, electric shuttles will transport visitors from one booth to another. Visitors can take magnificent new cars on test drives in this exceptional setting, along some of the roads that form the legendary Monaco Grand Prix circuit.
The Principality of Monaco offers the perfect environment for such a pioneering car show: top of the range vehicles cruise around one of the world’s most famous Grand Prix circuits, many companies offer luxury supercar rental in the region, and a large demographic or potential visitors live in the area.
The event is dedicated to automotive innovation and will feature futuristic cars designed using avant-garde technologies. Exhibitors who have already confirmed their participation include Tesla, Mitsubishi, Porsche, Venturi, Mazda, Maserati and Suzuki.
The event’s organisers, Expo Monaco and Raising Stones Events, are fortunate to have gained some prestigious partners early on, including EDF, Michelin, Air France-KLM and Fnac-France Billet. SIAM will also hold high-level conferences organised with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation on 17th February at the Grimaldi Forum.
Participants can attend debates between car manufacturers, equipment manufacturers, investors, Directors of innovative companies, safety experts and more. Topics are scheduled to include climate and energy transition, new uses of vehicles, driverless vehicles, public policy and financial innovation.
