The Toyota Scion branch is known for providing unique, high-performance vehicles at low prices. Scions first entered the United States market in 2004, wowing car buyers with their innovative designs and impressive stock features. Recognizing that most of the small cars on the road had little or no personality, the Toyota branch provided younger and first-time car buyers with unique vehicles that were completely different from the rest.
Birth of Scion tC
Two-door coupe T.C.’s descendants first hit dealer floors in late 2004. As the third model offered by the Toyota branch, the 2005 tC RS 1.0 was limited to a release of 1550 units, all of which featured a distinct Absolutely Red body color. The 2005 TC was the automaker’s first sports compact model, with the two previous models being the xA subcompact and the popular cuboid subcompact xB. The 2005 TC represented the automaker’s continued interest in appealing to younger “Generation Y” car consumers. The 2005 tC comes with a low price tag, but still offers a number of standard features, including a panoramic moonroof, keyless entry, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, a Pioneer® sound system, and more.
Consumers really enjoyed the range of add-on and aftermarket features available for the model, allowing customers to give their vehicles a personal touch. Generation Y consumers are also attracted by the “Pure Price” model offered by Toyota branches, which guarantees that the dealer price posted is the actual price of the vehicle. The 2005 TC is also available in a stripped down model aimed at buyers who like to “tune” their car to their liking.

TC in 2014
Low price designs 2014 T.C.’s descendants paying homage to the classic muscle car, featuring an aggressive body style available in the Scion’s bold colours. The attractive, muscular look is one of the many reasons why the tC enjoys the distinction of having the lowest average buyer age (28) of any car on the road. Other new exterior features include LED accent lights, wide front grille and creative angular headlamps.
The new TC is available with the performance-enhancing V-6 automatic transmission model featuring patented Dynamic Rev Management. The stock tC packs the fast driving response typical of sports cars, with new shocks and stabilizer bars.
The 2014 tC’s sporty interior features a black and gray design and front sport bucket seats. The tilt/telescopic steering wheel features audio controls for the Pioneer® stereo system. Increasingly appealing to a younger crowd, the tC includes HD Radio® technology, an iPod-enabled USB port, and a fender-mounted FM antenna. Like all Scions, there are many additional accessories and add-ons available for the tC. Available accessories include interior light kit, rear spoiler, underbody drawings, paint protection film and more.
