As parents, we are always concerned about instilling the right values in our children, but have you ever wondered what we can learn from our children?
Curiosity
Children do not bring preconceived notions or prejudices into the classroom. So that they are always full of wonder and curiosity. As adults we must learn to forget. Our wrong notions and selfish beliefs get in the way of our search for truth.
Energy
A child is a bundle of energy that jumps from task to task effortlessly. Even after hours of playing they would not stop. The reason is that they get lost in the moment and fully enjoy whatever they are doing. Children play like there’s no tomorrow.
Innocence
Who doesn’t love an innocent child? They have no doubts about the future. They are always honest and say what is on their mind. Nor did they build a wall of discrimination based on skin color, caste or creed. Their love is unconditional.
Bright Smile
Have you ever seen a child cry one moment and burst out laughing the next? They don’t dwell on trivial squabbles or misunderstandings. They are able to forgive and forget. This is one of the important lessons we can learn from children.
Laughter
Children are known to laugh more than adults. Cartoons, comic books, jokes and impersonations are the best parts of childhood. This keeps them intrinsically motivated as well as inspires and changes the mood around them.
